Managing WordPress Themes with WP Toolkit

Learn how to install, activate, update, and remove themes on your WordPress website using the WP Toolkit in Plesk. Your theme controls the look and feel of your site, so it's important to keep it up to date and choose one that suits your needs.

Installing a New Theme

  1. Log in to Plesk via your Zeniar Portal and open the WP Toolkit
  2. Click on your WordPress installation to expand its details
  3. Click the Themes tab
  4. Click the + Install button
  5. Search for the theme you'd like to install by name or keyword
  6. Click Install next to the theme you've chosen
  7. Once installed, click Activate to apply the theme to your website

Updating a Theme

  1. In the Themes tab, any themes with available updates will be flagged
  2. Tick the checkbox next to the theme you'd like to update
  3. Click Update to install the latest version

Removing a Theme

  1. In the Themes tab, tick the checkbox next to the theme you'd like to remove
  2. Click Remove to delete it from your WordPress installation

Important: You cannot remove a theme that is currently active. Switch to a different theme first, then remove the one you no longer need. We recommend removing any unused themes to keep your site secure.
