Submitting a Sitemap in Plesk

Learn how to generate and submit a sitemap for your website using the SEO Toolkit in Plesk. A sitemap is a file that lists all the pages on your site, helping search engines like Google discover and index your content more efficiently.

Steps

  1. Log in to Plesk via your Zeniar Portal
  2. Select Websites & Domains from the left-hand menu
  3. Expand the website you'd like to create a sitemap for
  4. Click on SEO Toolkit under the Dev Tools section
  5. Click the Sitemap tab
  6. Click Generate Sitemap to create a sitemap based on your website's current structure
  7. Once generated, the sitemap will be available at yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml
  8. To submit the sitemap to Google, log in to Google Search Console and navigate to Sitemaps in the left-hand menu
  9. Enter your sitemap URL (e.g. https://yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml) and click Submit

We recommend regenerating your sitemap whenever you add or remove pages from your website to ensure search engines have the most up-to-date information.
