Submitting a Sitemap in Plesk
Learn how to generate and submit a sitemap for your website using the SEO Toolkit in Plesk. A sitemap is a file that lists all the pages on your site, helping search engines like Google discover and index your content more efficiently.
Steps
- Log in to Plesk via your Zeniar Portal
- Select Websites & Domains from the left-hand menu
- Expand the website you'd like to create a sitemap for
- Click on SEO Toolkit under the Dev Tools section
- Click the Sitemap tab
- Click Generate Sitemap to create a sitemap based on your website's current structure
- Once generated, the sitemap will be available at yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml
- To submit the sitemap to Google, log in to Google Search Console and navigate to Sitemaps in the left-hand menu
- Enter your sitemap URL (e.g. https://yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml) and click Submit
We recommend regenerating your sitemap whenever you add or remove pages from your website to ensure search engines have the most up-to-date information.
